Medical Qi Gong (MQ)

  1. Qi Gong (Q-G)-I 30hrs, 2hrs per week, 15 weeks.
    The basic understanding of Qi Gong, Peace-Loose with Action Qi Gong, sitting and standing Qi Gong, Five-elements, number and Yin Yang Energy theories, Tai Chi Ruler (chik) and its variations, off-hands Qi Gong and Eight Silk Brocade and Basic Microcosmic breathing techniques are taught in this course. This is a prerequisite for (Q-G)-II.
  2. Qi Gong (Q-G)-II 30hrs, 2hrs per week, 15 weeks.
    Different basic classical Qi Gong moves are covered in this course, such as Qi Gong walk and Qi expelling training, advanced Microcosmic breathing techniques together with swords, foot and hand hanging training, microcosmic merge and basic Qi diagnosis techniques are introduced to students.
  3. Qi Gong (Q-G)-III 30hrs, 2hrs per week, 15 weeks.
    Classical Chinese meridian philosophy and Qi flow are the focus of this course. Students will also learn how to visualize the flow of energy and how to induce it to the meridian.
  4. Qi Gong (Q-G)-IV 30hrs, 2hrs per week, 15 weeks.
    This course is only for the Qi Gong major and is the prerequisite of (Q-G)-V, (Q-G)-VI, (Q-G)-VII and (Q-G)-T. Additional breathing methods will be introduced to the students. The course will place more focus on students' self-energy cultivation, Qi defense/protection (King Kong Qi Gong, Controlling Tiger or Iron Shirt Qi Gong).
  5. Qi Gong (Q-G)-V 30hrs, 2hrs per week, 15 weeks.
    External and Internal I-Ching-Ching (Bone Marrow Wash), Dao Yin Qi Gong and Qi Gong treatment on head, upper pulmonary and upper limb problems are the major concentrations within this course.
  6. Qi Gong (Q-G)-VI 30hrs, 2hrs per week, 15 weeks.
    Middle and lower Jiao problems and discussion of human signals for diagnosis will be taught in this course.
  7. Qi Gong (Q-G)-I 30hrs, 2hrs per week, 15 weeks.
    This is a continuation of Qi Gong (Q-G)-VI.
  8. Qi Gong Teachers Training (Q-G)-T1 30hrs, 2hrs per week, 15 weeks.
    This course is only for students majoring in Qi Gong and is compulsory for certification as a Medical Qi Gong Master.
  9. Qi Gong Teachers Training (Q-G)-T1 30hrs, 2hrs per week, 15 weeks.
    This course is the continuation of (Q-G)-T1 and is only for students majoring in Qi Gong and is compulsory for certification as Medical Qi Gong Master.

 

Medical Qi Gong (MQ) major students are required to have a minor of either Internal Martial Arts (I-M)Tc, or Classical Chinese Herbal Medicine (CCHM) with at least three electives to complete the Master Program of Medical Qi Gong.
