The Privacy Law is also known as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, or HIPAA. The documentation for this law may be found here.

To put it simply, it is a law which maintains a patient's confidentiality. All patients are given a brochure on HIPAA and is required to sign a receipt. You may request the brochure at our office or download it here.
