Classical Chinese Herbal Medicine (CCHM)
  1. Chinese Medicine, Principles of Chinese Medicine (C-Mp): 48 hrs, 2 hrs per week semester course.
    This is the introductory course for all students in all departments as a major, minor or elective and is the pre-requisite of C-Ms. Students will learn the history of Chinese Medicine, the five element theories, Chinese herbalogy, and pulsation.
  1. Chinese Medicine, Chinese Medical Scrutiny (C-Ms): 48 hrs, 2 hrs per week semester course.
    This course is designed for all students as a major, minor or elective and also for students who want to do body balancing work or to use the knowledge with other touching skills such as massage. Upon completion of the course, students will understand different types of herbs and their usage and acupuncture theories as well as classical Chinese myo-link techniques.
  1. Classical Chinese Herbal Medicine ? Shang Han-lun (CCHM-s): 96 hrs, 2 hrs per week 1 year course.
    This course is tailored for the CCHM major students and is the pre-requisite of the CCHM-j. Shang Han-lun is a book of classical Chinese Herbal Theories and is the base as well as the frame of Chinese Herbal Medicine. The principles of Classical Chinese Herbal Medicine, the differences of contemporary and Classical Chinese Medicine and the six meridians diagnosing method are covered.
  1. Chinese Herbal Medicine ? Jing Gui Yao Lueh (CCHM-j): 48 hrs, 2 hrs per week semester course.
    Jing Gui Yao Leuh is the main discussion in this course. This is the treatment structure of the Classical Chinese Medicine. A variety of health issues and treatments are covered.
  1. Classical Chinese Therapeutic Work (CCTW): 48 hrs, 2 hrs per week semester course.
    This course trains the students in a variety of hands-on techniques. Students learn foot reflexology, auricular therapy, periocular-iridology, dit-da (tieh-dah) which is the Chinese way of bone setting, and Chinese therapeutic tap.

Classical Chinese Herbal Medicine (CCHM) major students are required to have either Medical Qi-Gong (MQ), Internal Martial Arts (I-M)Tc, I-Ching (I-C) or Feng-Shui (F-S) as a minor and should have at least three electives to complete the Master program of Classical Chinese Herbal Medicine.
